ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M14.6.30. x7120 x7470 We send herewith N. sch. 3122. shewing 'F' type pedals as required for the continental car 26-EX. We have made the minimum of changes. They are as follows:- (1) Brake pedal moved out .750" and the cantilever of the cross shaft on the gearbox lengthened to correspond. (2) Special pedal stem lengths. (3) Shortened bearing for the accelerator pedal and plate moved out by setting the pedal lever, and offsetting the plate. (4) The mounting of the pedal shaft on the gearbox is illustrated, but is not essential to the scheme. (5) We have shewn some reinforcements to the floor and footboards, which changes are applicable to all types of pedals. It will be noted that from the mean position of the accelerator pedal to the bottom of the steering wheel is 29". DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
