E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 6602 BY/RD6/W.29.9.33. WST Increased Diameter Starter Motor Cable. We have looked into the question of using 61/.036 cable similar to sample supplied, in anticipation of the voltage drop being small and a recommendation made that this cable should be used. Unfortunately, the flexibility of this cable is not as great as our present standard size and this represents quite a serious disadvantage. Further, we should require new cable eyes, larger conduits and the entry of this cable to the main switch will have to be entirely re-arranged. If, however, a cable of this area proves so much better we might have another try to get something having the same area but with more flexibility. BY/RD. | ||
