X4117. To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} a/KT. 8.9.33. Trayner asked me about oil getting into the carburetter of a standard Phantom car. We pointed out that this was most certainly due to the hot weather as we had made many hundreds of these cars without the complaint being raised. In case the owner is insistent the method of reducing the oil flow along the breather is shewn in LeC.3420. We reduce the diameter of the piping to .250" to cut down the oil passing to the carburetter. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
