At gradients up to 1 in 4 1/2 oil is thrown by the
sliding 2nd., speed pinion on-to the servo worm.
At steeper gradients lubrication is again by drip from
the lid.{A. J. Lidsey}

The new gearbox is therefore no worse off for
lubrication than the present one.
