Report on Le Mans Trials.

Travelled from Le Havre to Le Mans with race car B-35-AE on French lorry.

B-106-GA - Practice Car.
Complaint of front brakes pulling to near side. O.S.F. wrapping shoe adjusted out one half turn on toggle. Brakes still pulling after 9 to 10 laps round Le Mans course. Wear checked when cold as follows :- N.S.F. 2 notches or one full turn and the rest, one notch each. Drum found to be scored after run. O.S.F. adjusted another half turn out on toggle and bedding checked. Linings found to be badly burnt and crumbling, due to previous use on another chassis. No complaint from Mr. Hall when he drove the car back from Le Mans to Le Havre and Southampton to London.

B-35-AE - Race Car.
Ran for 3 or 4 laps; maximum down the straight being 4350 to 4400 R.P.M. with India 19" x 6.50" tyres.

With petrol low in tank, reserve lines were tested and found O.K. Three laps completed after warning light appeared. Engine hesitated slightly when changing over from main to reserve.

New oil tank was fitted complete with indicator gauge for this run, and functioned satisfactorily with one gallon of oil.

The car was then packed up on the lorry and taken back to Le Havre.

When this car arrived at the J.R. Engineering Co., Olaf Street, Latimer Rd., London, W.11, the body was stripped and weighed separately from the chassis.
