Bailey - Chief Engineer} BUMP TEST ON ROAD SPRINGS. Attached herewith is a report on the bump tests with the latest 12¼% thin leaf springs. The results of these tests are proving that we are breaking the lower leaves more rapidly with this design than we did with the previous design with the fewer leaves. It will be seen that the two bottom leaves have broken in each case. Compared with the thick leaf springs, the bottom leaves are very much shorter. The life of the top plates appears to be about the average. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
