| To G.R.Y. We confirm our telephone conversation of this afternoon, reporting that both half shaft bearings had failed. On dismantling them, they were found full of brass dust & very noisy. We therefore sent you the following wire. WARKER ROYCAR DERBY. BOTH HALF SHAFT BEARINGS FAILED. STOP BRING STEERING BARK EXTRACTOR. We also confirm the instructions by RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MW. to remove gear box & test for leaks, & if there are none, to fit the new oil seal. Also reduce poundage of servo spring plate to 6/7 LBS, fit new side steering tube, fit modified exhaust tail pipe, fit new clutch centre plate, & have car ready for him to go & meet R.M.
