To H1. Laboratory. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1782 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/LG27.9.26. X4633 We are sending in to you - 1 whitemetal bearing complete with thermo couple - and Weston Galvanometer. We are using this type of thermo couple to measure the temperature at which these bearings fail on test. We should be obliged if you could give us a deflection temperature calibration of this arrangement on the lines of the attached so that we can use it as standard on our tests.
