To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} for EH. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} 2. R4/IB4315. at a known low termperature to the lowest part of the pump, until you get steady working conditions with a maximum temperature in the radiator tank of say 90o. Then, assuming that the horse power is the same during each test, the quantity of extra water* that has to be supplied will be proportionate to the efficiency of one radiator over another, and there will be no question as to the amount of metal or water that has to be heated up. You will notice also that the round tube of Marstons thinner radiator would leave the floorboards less hot than the thick radiators.
