Y 3994? HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re 20 HP. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}11/E27.5.29 Referring to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}22/E15.5.29, you will remember that at our last conference the date given for a sample car to start on its 10,000 miles running was Saturday of this week, the 1st June. I should be glad if you would let me know the present position from the point of view of this programme being adhered to. In view of the fact that we said that if satisfactory after the first 5,000 miles I should be quite satisfied to take the risk of allowing manufacture to go ahead, it seems important that special arrangements should be made for Sales officials and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and perhaps also Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to have an early chance of trying the car during the first 5,000 miles, as they did when 18-EX first went to France. Would you please let me know what arrangements can be made in this respect. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
