TBB5/L24612. X180 June 24th. 1912. Experimental run on Chassis 1714 June 16th.1912. -------------------- Axle - 18/52 with long addenda gears. This axle was an excellent one and quite the best I have had experience of, and to all intents and purposes was noiseless. The power with this gear was fairly good although it did not give one a good impression at first. The petrol consumption, which I understand was 15 miles per gallon, is not particularly good for so high a gear. Helical Timing Gears. These were excellent and appeared to have no rattles. Cotton Belting Cone Clutch 3/16" This worked very well and did not give any trouble from clinging (the driver made one complaint when changing down but I do not think this is/a valid one as the clinging of the clutch should not affect the change-down operation) Small flywheel and spring coupling. My impression of this car with these fitted was that it was certainly not so good as when I have tried the car with the heavy flywheel. There is a very bad X630 | ||
