I have been in telephonic conversation with the second chauffeur re the above car. He informs me that he took the car to Derby yesterday. The Repair Dept. dealt with it. They proved to him that the tyres (Goodrich) were the cause of the axle noise and fitted a new set of Dunlops. The Chauffeur states that he is perfectly satisfied with the results, and has returned with the car.

The above car went to Cricklewood Depot for the axle complaint. Messervy then demonstrated to the Chauffeur that standard Dunlop tyres made an 80% cure, also a balanced propeller shaft damper was fitted at the same time.
