X.3720. RE THREE SPEED GEAR BOX FOR AMERICAN CHASSIS.

We send you herewith drawing No. LeC.1157 giving a further illustration of theabove gear box.

In this drawing various little economies have been made, and the meshing of the gear more efficiently arranged, which has resulted in a small and usefulmdecrease on the toteal length of the box. Further particulars of the change speed lever tower and brake quadrant are shewn although these latter are not quite complete.

Would you kindoy take a blue print from this drawing and let us have the tracing back at he earliest possible moment. Would you be good enough to ask the people responsible for the blue printing to treat this tracing with care, as we wish to work on it again.

We hope to send particulars of the remainder of the brake gear very shortly, as also the remainder of the information required with regard to the change speed and brake levers.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
