Radiator valve design to prevent freezing and maintain engine temperature.

It could be arranged so that the valve could never completely shutt off the hot water from going to the radiator so as to avoid freezing.

It appears as though it would be very difficult to get out a neat scheme for our present type of chassis. It would not spoil the appearance of the car from the outside but it would make it appear more complicated under the bonnet.

Our experience with 49-GB which is fitted with a blind and a thermometer, has shewn that it is not essential to have the control operated from the driver's seat. We consider the amount of blanking on the radiator under ordinary circumstances should not need altering more than four times during a year i.e. at every season. The temperature during the whole of the time would be maintained from 70 to 95°C.
