-4- Wider track rear axle. Wider rear brakes. New Exhaust system with aluminium expansion box, and new cut-out. There are a number of other small features. 20 HP. We have made progress with this car. Mr. Hancock has just completed a 15,000 test in France on the 20 HP. which had fitted to it - Higher compression pistons 5.25 instead of 4.6, Freer exhaust, Slightly larger carburetter, Rubber engine mounting, Hypoid rear axle, and several other small features. The modifications to the 20 HP. engine give us a very definite increase in performance. It brings us up to practically the same performance as 16-G4 which you had at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town last summer. One satisfactory point is the fact that we are now actually placing cars on test with all of these new parts fitted, and really there is no need at all to be ashamed of the present 25 HP. Sir Henry Segrave, who has within the last few weeks taken over delivery of the Phantom 11 and 25 HP., has no criticisms whatever against this 25 HP car, He thinks it is an absolute wonderful motor car. Personally, I think the 20 HP is now a very excellent selling proposition and we dare not put very much more to that car unless we lift the Phantom 11 performance up at the | ||
