[STAMP: RECEIVED 9 JAN 1939 A.M.] BENTLEY. 101 in 'J' to end of 'L' Series. Rear Axle Gears - 10/41 Ratio. Pinion (Single Row Brg) GB.2351, modified to take Two-Row Bearing (GB.4384). Bevel Wheel GB.186. We have produced a scheme, GL.{G. Linnett}879, shewing the pinion GB.2351 modified to take a two row tail bearing. A sample pinion has been modified and lapped to a replacement wheel. These pieces together with the bearing, distance piece, and bolts are being sent under separate cover to enable you to have them fitted to a service axle. Will you please give us a report as soon as you have fitted them so that if they are satisfactory, we can instruct a further six sets for use in service axles.
