RR 238 (150 BKS) [BH57.29-6-20.] MP 22435E 57 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 22 Sept 1924 Order No.: AC. 25. Customer's No.: X 4610 X4333 EG.2 Brushes on 20 h.p. Dynamo (2 coils/slot) These brushes have now completed a routine brush test on the direct coupled rig, using dynamo B. They have run with very little sparking and are all well polished, the wear being small, viz:- Positive .005". Negative .002". Control .004". The commutator was left in a fair condition, though with some slightly burnt segments. This result is quite equal to that obtained with Z brushes on the two coils per slot machines, the brush polish being indistinguishable, the commutator condition similar and the brush wear probably no different on the average. Signed: H.A. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
