1116 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} HFS/RH.{R. Hollingworth}3/SW.8.5.40. Bentley 60 Crankshaft. Integral Balance Weights to PL.72 We have received instructions to produce a crank-shaft RE.869, with integral balance weights. We are looking into the question of taking an existing set of die blocks and modifying to produce the Crankshaft with balance weights integral. We would like your assurance, before we get too far involved in die alteration costs, that this experimental project is likely to become production. ----------------- [Signature] HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH{R.
