Dear Sir,

With reference to Mr Lynam's visit to Belper with you the other day re lay-out in front of Factory. We have gone into the question of cost and have pleasure in quoting you as follows:-

To pull down the existing double faced wall and stack stone for re-use. To build a dwarf double faced wall 15" high in position of existing wall and in front of proposed new Rose Beds, these walls to be built with stone taken from old wall, we to supply all extra stone required. The walls are to be built with a hollow centre which will be filled in with soil so that Rock plants may be planted on top of wall.
To supply and fix a strong stone edging to sides and rear of proposed new beds.
To hack over proposed new beds and cart away all ash and gravel etc. that may be found. To thoroughly dig up the bottom and prepare for soil. To supply and spread an average of 12" of soil over sites of beds and prepare for planting.
To supply and plant 200 dwarf Roses to new beds, 12 Standard Roses and 6 Standard Pyrus Lemoinei.
We will undertake to carry out the whole of the above work for the sum of £90:0:0. (Ninety Pounds).

As an alternative, the pulling down of the existing wall could be omitted and instead of a dwarf wall in front of the new beds, a strong stone edging could be fixed. If this would be satisfactory a reduction of £25 could be made.

Yours faithfully,
for. BARRONS' LANDSCAPE, LIMITED.
