We have a number of battery ignition distributor heads varnished on the inside surface with various varnishes as an experiment on the capability or otherwise of these varnishes to prevent tracking across the surface. The various varnishes used are "Armacell", "Packyderm", shellac, "Marconite", "Elo" and a varnish made up by Mr Brock of synthetic rezin dissolved in alcohol.
