As far as our tests have gone up to date, we can say that from results in the engine that K.E.965 austenitic steel appears to be a satisfactory alternative for the present silchrome.

The tests are being continued with valves made of a reduced section. Also bars of this material are being obtained in order that forgings can be produced in our own Works.
