ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG15/6.28 VALVE STEELS. V.1474 X.8060 As far as our tests have gone up to date, we can say that from results in the engine that K.E.965 austenitic steel appears to be a satisfactory alternative for the present silchrome. The tests are being continued with valves made of a reduced section. Also bars of this material are being obtained in order that forgings can be produced in our own Works.
