It is very nice of you to write, and I am getting very excited at the thought of being the proud owner of one of the Company's latest products. My brother has just bought what I suppose is the smartest car in London. A 40/50 Continental with a Gurney-Nutting Sedanca, the whole car in grey. He motored me up here on Saturday and we did the journey very comfortably with a stop for lunch at Weedon and fill up for petrol at Lichfield between 11.30 and 4.30 including stops. Twice we touched 85 m.p.h and she ran so smoothly it was difficult to believe we were doing more than 40. I am indeed a Rolls Royce enthusiast. My old 1911 still goes very well. Can I send you some photos of her in different body guises since I have owned her? Perhaps you would put them in your bulletin with dates and mileages. Since I bought her in 1920 I have done about 150,000 miles, so she must have done over 300,000 because I think one of your directors took her for an extensive trip on the Continent before the war. Chassis No.1700, underslung cantilever. An interesting car.
