to BH from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.A.C. 14. FORWARD BODY SUPPORT. We send herewith N.Sch.2505. giving particulars of the springs for the body forward support, shewn on N.Sch 2504. We wish you to use the 50 lbs. spring to start with and would be glad if Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would report on the action of this support when the car is travelling over rough roads at speed. It is our wish to use the weakest spring possible that will just keep the body down under all reasonable conditions. We are thus able to limit the torsional loading of the body. If it is found necessary we can give you springs with greater deflexions for the same load. Again, we only wish to do this if driven to it, as the spring pot, being visible, must be retained as small as possible. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
