BENTLEY 8 LITRE CAR.

In case you do not realise it, we should like to point out that the 8 Litre Bentley car we have here appears to have run 18,000 miles and shows a certain amount of wear and tear. Piston knocks are pronounced, the back axle is also noisy. We wish to point this out in order to avoid being blamed for the condition of the car when it is returned.

We do not propose to do very much more with this car now as we shall be able to get hold of all the drawings. There is no necessity to pull it to pieces but it will be helpful in making our arrangements for the S.U. carburetters on Phantom ll.

We expect to let you have this car back in about a week or ten days.
