To (HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} copy to EE Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x8920 EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1.27-11-25. RE E.A.C. I. Mr Royce wishes us to bring E.A.C.I. somewhat up to date before we shew it to anyone at "Sales". Yesterday we sent to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} a design of Rear Wheel Carrier. The drawing also shewed the maximum length of body which we are proposing to allow with this type of axle control. It is two inches more than we allow at present. With such a body and rear wings the appearance seems to be quite good. In a day or so we shall send you a sketch shewing a means of fitting an E.A.C.VIII. front cross member and radiator, as we are not pleased with the appearance of the front of E.A.C.I. The height and width of the radiator and the dashboard will be the same as "W"Series. The heights are measured from the top of the level frame. One of the great advantages which we gain is that we can use a standard body for subframe mounting. In this connection we will send you a sketch shewing how the sub-frame brackets can be brought in. We still await a reply to our DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/M20.11.25. re which body you would prefer to have. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
