To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/E25.4.35 - 2 - You will remember that, when this new carburetter was introduced, we raised the question of petrol consumption and we were assured that we were not going to lose more than a mile per gallon. We still expressed doubts and the Experimental Dept. conducted a test with the results practically the same. 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating' and it is quite clear from our customers' complaints that 14 miles to the gallon with the new carburetter is good against a former 17/18, and many customers are doing worse than 14. I should be interested to know what you get on your car, and also what your brakes have been like, and the steering. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
