W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq.,
Chief Experimental Car Engineer,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

With reference to the discussion you had with me last week, we are now putting through a quantity of salt cooled valves for test, and I think it is almost inevitable we shall have to adopt them also for production.

The question has been raised here as to what patents we are liable to infringe, and I should be glad if you could give me any information as to what the patent position is.

I enclose herewith a print showing the type of valve under consideration.

Yours faithfully,
For THE ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT CO. LTD.,

(G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Rackham.)
CHIEF ENGINEER.
