Recommendation of thinner oils for cold weather conditions in instruction books.

Instruction Books. ---------------- It is now universally appreciated that in order to get a car to start in really cold weather it is necessary to use thinner oil than that suitable for summer use. We consider for this reason that reference to such a procedure should be made in the Instruction Book. For English conditions we should recommend Mobiloil A.F. or Wakefield's C.W. oils. We are finding out from the other recommended suppliers what brand they would suggest for such conditions. In exceptionally cold climates such as Canada, extremely thin oils will have to be adopted during the winter, but under these circumstances there is almost always a recommended standard for the district which will naturally be adopted by the owner of the car.
