30th. August 1937.

Messrs. Specialloid Ltd.,
Friern Park,
North Finchley,
London, N.12.

For the attention of Mr. C.F.Russell.

Dear Sir,

With reference to your letter of the 25th. inst., and to the visit of Mr.D.McConnell, we are enclosing a print of our drawing E60632, which gives the main dimensions of a piston suitable for 4¼ litre Bentley.

As we pointed out to Mr. McConnell we regret that we are unable at the moment to test pistons for you, particularly since they are of the solid skirt type. We shall, however, be pleased to hear of the results you obtain with your pistons in Mr. Bates' car, and should the car ever be in the service station for any reason the writer would be glad to have the opportunity of examining it.

In conclusion we should like to say that should the opportunity arise for us to test pistons we shall immediately get in touch with you.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS - ROYCE LTD.
