C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. BATTERY IGNITION.

We send you herewith a print of Lec. 2987. shewing the above.

The make and break levers shewn together with the springs and contact points are intended to be exact duplication of Delco Remy, and Delco Remy parts can be used.

The cam profile is also similar.

With regard to the HT. moulding the type shewn has vertical connections as required for J.3., but the intent is to fit this same ignition on the 'B' sports, in which case we should use the Delco Remy HT. moulding with side connections.

To get going the latter can be used for the first J.3. if necessary.

The original of Lec. 2987. will be sent when the remaining information has been completed.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
