[Handwritten Initials: HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}] E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives, Esq., Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. CONFIDENTIAL Dear Mr. Hives, Capt. George Eyston has told me in confidence, of your plans for Montlhery next month. I am instructing our Derby Depot to hold one barrel of B.P. Ethyl (50-gallons) against your instruction, marked 'G.E.T.E.'. Will you, therefore, be kind enough to advise them when and where you would like delivery to be made; I feel this is the better way of dealing with it, as otherwise, the barrel might possibly be mislaid at your works if it were delivered direct. We intend to send from this country, the requisite quantity of 350 gallons of B.P. Ethyl that will be used in the actual attempt, so that we may be quite certain you will be getting a fuel identical with that on which you made your tests. If there is any other information you require, or anything else you would like me to do, please let me know. Yours sincerely, [Signature] C. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Guild | ||
