R.R. 493A (50H) (D.B. 175 25-9-24) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/LG20.5.25. FRONT AXLE TORSION. Tests made by pulling front brakes on by means of main brake ropes, and a hold fast attached to the frame. The car is then pulled forward until the wheels just slide and the pivot lean measured. EAC. (98-NK) FRONT AXLE WT. 2464 lbs. Pivot. | Normal lean. | Lean under torsion. O.S. | .125 back. | .450 forward. N.S. | .080 back. | .440 forward. G.111. FRONT AXLE WT. 1535 lbs. N.S. | .156 back. | .235 forward. O.S. | .215 back. | .215 forward. SERVO EFFICIENCY. We have tested the servo efficiency on 'India'. The servo was fitted with 45° cams. We find the input over output to be 1.25 taken in the conventional method adopted on EAC.111. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
