POSITION OF WHEEL EXPERIMENTS.

(1) Bentley 6 X 17 tyres on 4" rims.

The 6 X 17 India tyres have on the skid pan less cornering power than the Standard 5.50 X 18 and have to be run about 5 lbs/sq.in. harder for the same handling.

The 6 X 17 Dunlop tyre has greater cornering power than the Standard tyre. Dunlops are going to confirm this on their rig.

Sr. thinks his car more difficult to keep straight on 6 X 18 Indias. We have found same on 5.B.lV. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} reported on 6.B.lV. that [xx] the pressures have to be more accurately maintained.

Dunlops will submit suggestions for a 5 X 17 rim in steel and dural together with tool costs.

Dunlops will also supply figures for the weight reduction of the Salmson wheel over our present design.

(2) P.3. 5" rims.

We have not instructed any light gauge wheels until we have had more experience of the original ones submitted which will run endurance on 33-EX.
