(2) It would seem that pressure unit should be outside bearing at least the nut part which goes to pedal otherwise it gets pinched in the bearing. Forked. With the scheme below the con. rods are not thin and wide but as narrow as possible. They are say .6 out of line down to the balance lever. Probably can be longer if necessary. Does not matter about load in here if they do not twist. I make out lifting pins can clear rods however long even with 90°. Reverse rod can be on overhanging pin. Plan of balance link. Forward rod central. Suitable for spring washers. Rather shorter - 3 light bosses give every facility with minimum dia. 3/4" plus clearance. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
