Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of the 9th inst., we regret the delay in replying but last week was a general holiday at these works.

With regard to the mould which you mention - we have an adaptor as shown on Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}292 attached and will arrange to forward this to you if you will let us know whether you require it. We do not see any necessity for a new mould and would certainly like to have an estimate of its cost before we agree to its being put in hand - particularly as we are not very optimistic about the success of this valve seating, from the results which we have had to date.
