Dear Mr. West,
Referring to your visit today, I have pleasure in confirming that I am arranging for an independent Smith investigation of the A.T. instrument costs, especially with a view, without impairing the efficiency and quality to manufacturing on a more economical basis.
Smith instrument samples, interchangeable with the A.T. Speedometer and Tachometer for the Bentley, 25 H.P. R.R. and Phantom lll, are also being prepared; and I have passed on to our Works your suggestion that we manufacture our own counters which matter, you may rest assured, will have most careful consideration.
Petrol Gauge: In accordance with your wishes - Mr. Franklin, our Chemist, will investigate with the Ethyl folk the problem of varying grades of petrol, and in due course I will let you know the result.
Meanwhile, because of the tendency with certain spirits to gum up the attachment you will appreciate that it
