(2) One way of arranging this pump is to mount the spindle of the rotor on two bearings, the outer one being lubricated by an external oil supply, and the inner one being in the oil of the drive, space between being arranged to carry away any leakage water. A spring and ball thrust is used on the inner end in the oil of the drive casing to apply the end pressure. We return herewith the papers which accompanied your memo.
