Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA OUR REF. WOK/LC. 21st January, 1935. SUBJECT Dear Mr. West, Thanks for your letter of the 10th inst., from which I am glad to learn that the samples are still continuing to give satisfactory service. With reference however, to the car ignition distributor, I note that you have experienced more lubricating oil working through into the distributor. We regard this generally as being a rather satisfactory sign and we usually attack the problem by allowing the oil to get through the bearing and then running it back again into the engine. If you are interested, I will get our Mr. Rushton to make up a sketch of what we should probably propose, having made a careful inspection of the job first. I am hoping that you are not regarding this in any way as a defect in the equipment, as frankly, as I say, we are usually very anxious to see that the distributor shaft at least gets sufficient lubrication. Yours sincerely, [Signature] Managing Director. | ||
