S.H. 493a (50 H) (D.D. 31, 12-6-25) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. X.3809 REF Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/LG61125 To C.J. } FROM Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} To R.{Sir Henry Royce} } Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} absent. RE. RIMS AND TYRES. 44050 X.3809 With reference to CJ?/E5.11.25. We wrote to Messrs. Dunlop to make certain of the point in question, and attach their reply. Since then we have interrogated the Development Superintendent as to the sizes of the Michelin tyres which he mentions in this letter. He has informed us, that while none of these sizes mentioned are high pressure tyres, which correspond to those manufactured by the Dunlop Co. for the well-base rim, he understands that Michelins are on the point of producing a tyre which we shall be able to use as replacements. The car fitted with the new well-base rims and tyres is already in France. We are arranging that they shall revert to the standard wheels and tyres. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W.A.Robotham. | ||
