Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Works and Registered Office, Nightingale Road, Derby. Your Order No. 36335. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your order No. 36335 for 1 set of 6 cylinder 12-bore Aluminium Alloy Pistons as per patterns, but these large sizes with their necessary thicknesses are not suitable for die casting, and we are therefore quoting you for sand castings at the same price. We note that you require delivery in two weeks, but we should require at least four weeks with our present commitments, and these should be available within that period. We should be glad to have your further instructions at your earliest convenience so that we can proceed, but with regular castings having the jigs and tools we can usually despatch within a week of order. We trust you will favourably consider this matter, and shall be pleased to have your further instructions. Yours faithfully, For The Maudslay Motor Co. Ltd. [Stamp] ROYCE LTD 22 MAR. 1934 A.M.
