The extension of a car's 10,000-mile test and the involvement of Test Department officials.

Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} etc. should be given full opportunity of trying this car and, as mentioned at yesterday's conference, I am anxious that this should form a part of every 10,000 mile test. In fact, as it was agreed yesterday to extend the 10,000 mile test to 15,000 miles we ought, I think, to establish the fact for the future that the officials of the department in question take a regular turn during the course of the tests.
