With levers arranged as shown on the latest LoC, an .020" feeler can be inserted in the gap of the throttle for .250" movement on accelerator pedal. With the angle of the butterfly valve altered a .014" feeler can be inserted with .250" movement on the pedal. Also with the valve ground for 10º, there is considerably less area.
A test taken with the engine running light showed with a certain movement on the throttle lever .075" the engine ran at 2150 r.p.m. with the standard throttle with the modified throttle, with the same movement the speed was 270 r.p.m.
