As regards the loose pieces off the splines, these need not occur when properly made. we have been going into this question, it appears that the splines are damaged in handling after hobbing. The pieces are so large that they cannot get between valve and sleeve, they might lodge under the valve seat for one stroke now and again.

We are considering a rubber sealing ring combined with a better flange on the servo. It should be remembered that this is the first servo it has been possible to seal and that when any Wraith is run in wet weather without undersheets water always gets in the servo. The new servo gives us the possibility of a seal.
