HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to RJ BY ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M30.11.28. "SS{S. Smith}" REAR AXLE DAMPER. X7350 With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG221128., we enclose herewith N. scheme 2766. shewing the slight modification to the valve plug etc on the rear axle damper, to enable the plug to be removed without touching the spring, so that the latter may be adjusted by varying thicknesses of washer. It is intended to alter both valves. In going over the damper we see that the plugs on the replenishing valve passage are very short. Taking into account the size of the spanner used we think it would be very desirable to increase them, and to do so by lengthening the boss as indicated. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
