Overheating X2748 It is a fact that the new lightened piston is inclined to cause detonations worse than the old heavy type. This is due to the piston being much thinner and consequently does not conduct the heat away as rapidly. As regards an oil radiator if you could find out what temperature the oil gets to under the worst conditions it would be helpful. We reckon that the oil temperature can go up to 60°C without harm.
