Birmingham.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for the reception accorded the subscriber on the occasion of his visit to your Works on Monday last, 18th inst.

With regard to your proposal that we should consent to the output of the E.575 dynamo being reduced to 11 amps when cold, we are giving the matter consideration and shall write you by an early post.

With regard to your offer to supply to us one or more of your batteries for testing out in our cars, we would remind you that we have already two of your batteries, both of which are now being tested out. If your present make of battery contains improvements over those we have now on test, we shall be very glad to test out one of your latest make.

In this connection, we should like to know whether your latest form of battery is enclosed in an ebonite container, in lieu of celluloid. We very much prefer ebonite; in fact we consider that the use of ebonite shows a distinct advantage over the use of celluloid, to say nothing of the danger attendant on the use of the latter.

We enclose herewith copy of our latest specification of battery for 40/50 h.p. chassis.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
