STARTER CARBURETTER - NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I. X.8080 X.4425 X.1918 X.8280

I would like you to send new parts for the starter carburetter. The thread of the needle on the one here is wrong - too tight, and cannot be screwed down, but gives too much petrol. I do not know which thread is wrong, but it seems out of pitch.

MAIN CARBURETTER.
---------------

The low speed jet regulation is very much too rapid. Please send slower taper needle.

The petrol both in the vacuum tank, and float chamber seems to get very hot: perhaps the exhaust heat to the throttle is too great, but the float chamber might be heat insulated from carburetter body by paper, and heat guard between exhaust and vacuum tank.

IGNITION PLUGS.
---------------

These are now keeping cleaner, now we know the starter carburetter is much too rich. For some reason they oil up less. I like the Lodge plugs which are fitted: we can clean them fairly well, but naturally should prefer those detachable like K.L.G's if equally good otherwise.
