DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X3806 R3/M23.1.29. X.7410 X.3806 X.5410 CARS - SPRING (ROAD) LUBRICATION. Mr. Day gives us a suggestion for carrying the centralised oiling from the shackle pin in between the plates. I think this is an excellent idea and should be patented if possible at once. Mr. Day will say what names should be included in the patent - i.e. if anyone has helped him. Figs. 3 and 4 seem the best, and it would be commercially a good policy to do it thoroughly.
