-2- (20) N/S front tyre fouls drip edge of wing. (21) Front carpet and mat very poor fit round pedals (still requires attention). (22) Change speed lever fouls cushion in 2nd. gear (still requires attention). (23) Temporary steering column fitted. (24) Propellor shaft badly out of alignment - now O.K. Car in Fitting Shop from 3.5.39 to 8.5.39 for:- (1) Fit new axle with 11 x 41 gears. (2) Fit FB.4889 rear spring plates. (3) Fit FB.4595/6 lightened shock damper levers. (4) Fit FB.4824 connecting links. (A) New needles fitted to carbs for improved acceleration, and attention to carb piston dampers. (B) Twin exhaust system removed and standard system fitted. (C) Longer ball pins fitted to centre joints of cross steering tubes. (D) Rear axle rebound buffers reduced by half. (E) Felt fitted to rear brake carrier plates. (F) Petrol gauge and instrument lights failed - faulty wiring. (G) Slipper wheel dismantled, examined and reset. (H) Front and rear engine mountings dismantled and examined for engine roughness. (I) Dynamo belt noisy due to wrong angle pulley. (J) New speedo fitted to suit new axle ratio. | ||
