X7230 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} at W. c. to JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}15/I/24-2-33. VIBRATION BOOM PERIODS. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Tm5/KT23-2-33. We have had a word with JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} and asked him to collect any information he can which may help to give you an idea of the proportion of cars which might be improved by the treatment suggested by EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} tell us that he has invited you to come to London on Wednesday next to try our new Trials Continental car 20-MY which has a specially elongated silencer, and he will take that opportunity of discussing EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s proposal with you. By the way, you probably already know that on the new Buick the silencer is supported by a rubber mounting from the chassis frame. You probably saw the new Buick when you were in the U.S.A. recently but, if not, when you are in London you might care to step into Lundrum & Hartman's Showrooms in Albemarle Street and look over one. We gather that rubber is used to insulate many parts, such as the headlamp brackets, etc. from the chassis. Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}/. | ||
